Alice Hiller Workshop - Writing the Felt Self

Hayley Frances

Tues, 17th Sep, 19:00

Working together, we’ll develop strategies for bringing our bodily selves into our creative processes through practical exercises.

Tue, 17 Sep 2024 19:00 - 21:00 BST

‘Writing the felt self’ begins from the premise of our bodies being our personal strongholds, and the starting places of our creative adventures. Working together, we’ll develop strategies for bringing our bodily selves into our creative processes through practical exercises. We’ll begin by writing freely to discover what we have waiting and ready inside us. We’ll then work with sound, hearing, and aural memory, and finally connect with our visual and instinctive selves by making hand erasures. All exercises will be carefully guided and aim to leave you with drafts of new poems as well as tools to take forward.

NB Zoom links to the individual workshops will arrive in your inbox 48 hours before each workshop. Please check your junk folder.
