Helen Calcutt is a remarkable voice in poetry, she is embedded in nature like the roots of a cherry tree, and knocks you off balance with every poem.
Helen’s debut collection, published at the age of 23, is an astonishing debut and deserves to continue to be read. Helen appeared at the first Verve Festival and has workshopped at it too. She is also on the advisory board for Verve Poetry Press and published her third collection, Somehow, with our sister press.
